Nature Teaches Us How To Become More In Our Life
By Bart Sharp
How do I make the expanded consciousness of nature work for me? How can it increase my bank account? The latter question is what many Americans would ask first. People are more interested in a class on abundance than they are on releasing anger, or on communing with nature. But its only as we become more whole and aware we will receive more of what we are asking for. Our internal conflicts and limitations are our biggest barriers to receiving.
When I place the focus on me and ask how I created my conflicts, it all begins to come clearer of what my part is in the limitation. The affinity that I have for nature is one of my biggest supports in finding resolution to conflicts and an opening to create something better. The more that I am centered in myself and the earth; the more my relationship with work, business, and loved ones is easier.
In this fast-paced world it is important not to be hooked into the stress and trauma of the world. Setting the boundary to not get involved with the things that are not my business, to not tread on the affairs of others takes a great load off of my back.
What I have learned from nature is the joyful energy that it embodies. As I go about my day, I do my best to remember the earth’s energy in my body. When that spontaneous energy is present in me, it goes into my daily creations. It is an open-minded presence in me that extends out to nature and pulls it into my life. Energy and consciousness do not have boundaries time and space. The choice to be with nature fosters an open-ended possibility with the world. It allows the world or universe to be open to give to me, and allows me to be open to receiving.
One of the things that I can do to shut it down is projecting on how things will turn out. For example, thinking of how many people are going to come to a class before the class has begun. It is a sure fire way to close down the possibilities that you have created for your venture.
The forest does not grow with an expectation of what it will look like. It just grows. Other factors such as sun, wind, water, and other plants influence it. In the plant world there is no competition; just the energy to thrive. They are simply happy to grow.
