Welcome all, this is the third year I have sent out a predictions paper.  My process is to ask to connect to the consciousness of the world, ask questions about what is happening in the consciousness of the planet and write it down.  I kind of see it all as getting in touch with the heartbeat of the world and see what shows up. Of course, this is all seen through the eyes of my values so it is likely bias.  Please do not bet the farm on these predictions, it’s all in good fun.

Overall, a softer year.

2012 is an opportunity to transcend without so much confrontation.  However confronting issues makes the journey a faster.

This is the beginning of a new era of the feminine power, we as Americans have an opportunity do not take the masculine action plan and fall into a more relaxed invitation of the feminine.  We will all (male and female) see how the feminine power of healing, expression, communication and self-identity emerge in the world.

A connection to mother earth is more available and her nurturing presence.

The economy will increase surprisingly fast, fears we have held in 2011 are not confirmed so many decide to release their fearful grip a little bit more.

Obama will win in November in a landslide.  However Rick Perry is not done, only as a presidential hopeful.  Will he come out of the closet, “Brokeback Perry?, No, he is a Republican.

Austin will not have a drought but it will be really hot.

2012 is a year to begin new projects in a way you never have before.  Do not fear in thinking too big.  Especially the internal side of us can stand some projects as this allows the feminine to emerge even more.  A year to calm ourselves down, it all begins with us.  It is a good year to generate your life through prayer, angels, your higher self or other spirits as all of this stuff will be much easier to access.  Prepare to take off if you wish to fly, however it is good to let go of old baggage before taking off as it will always be a drag on your travels and increase your aging.

The evangelic politic action groups will take severe setbacks as more people realize god is a personal relationship not a literal interpretation.

2012 is a year for personal action, if we learned anything from 2011 is that if we wish physical change in the world we have to do something about it.  Small steps are predicted but a whole lot of them.

It is the year of the heart, more people realize the power of their own hearts using unconditional love, changing their surroundings in subtle but profound ways.

The year of the Saint.  The New Orleans Saints will win the upcoming Super Bowl.

As a Mayan shaman told a group this past summer, there are two basic things we all need to do a lot more of: plant more trees and love each other.

I hope 2012 is a great year for everyone.

I recently joined a gym and found my first week there to be refreshing and energizing, a new world to explore.  As a few weeks past I found myself going and feeling inadequate and needy.  What is going on here?  I was looking at other people working out and wanting to be as strong as them.  Crazy!  I was going to rehabilitate a foot injury and broken wrist.  I was not enjoying the women in my presence but having a feeling of neediness and lack in looking at them, it felt sexual in a very negative way.  I was not appreciating them as women and the beautiful bodies that they had.  Was I changing from my spiritual growth that I am so diligent to become?

The answer was no, I was becoming the affect of people’s energies in the gym.  As in most gyms most people compare their bodies to others and usually judge them selves as better or worse than the others.  There is some of the same kind of things going on sexually, of comparison, wanting and desire.  The limitations people have created about themselves physically, sexually and emotionally carry over to the gym.  The judgments we have about our selves seem to come out as we empathize other people’s energies.  We are stimulated by their limitations to fall into our own.  This not only occurs at the gym but at other places, however the gym’s focus is the body which is connected directly to sexuality.  Challenging issues for many.  I have heard from many people how they hate going to gyms just for this reason, the judgments they fear from others and how it makes them feel.  It becomes an energy drain on some levels.

As I realized this and my own regression as I rode the bicycle I asked the question.  “What does the energy of this comparison of other bodies that I am feeling in this gym?”  I felt something tight and constrictive that made me feel much smaller.  I communicated to my body, that energy is not mine.  Can we remove it?  I visualize a visceral sensation of that energy leaving my body.  All of this sexual energy that is resonating in me from others that sex is dirty, lacking and demeaning I would like to release that.”  Once again when I asked my body about this energy I felt those sensations of sexual shame and guilt within me.  I visualized those the visceral sensations leaving my body.  I felt clean.  I then exercise with a new connection within me to the expanded energies inside of me similar to when I meditate, only I was on a stationary bicycle.

We can create our own reality.  It is an ongoing awareness to see what is disconnecting us from our great world within us.  We can get hooked into the matrix of everyone else’s thoughts so easily.  The good news is that we can bring our selves back to us by disconnecting from their energies.

You can be learning a new language.  A language that has little reference to the ones that you have used in the past. Yet at the same time this language has been part of you all of your life.   It is taking language down to its most complex and basic form.  This language is spoken between the trees, plants, animals and the earth.  In my book “The Healing Planet” I describe in detail how we can learn the energy of trees and the earth.  It is the language of energy.

Everything on this planet is an energy, it vibrates within and outside of every object and being.  Each of us has an ability to perceive all of the life forms and inanimate objects.  Whether it be a plant, our cat, a house or our computer they all have energies.  We are all a variety of energetic vibrations within us that emanate out.  They are changing as we change.  For humans, energies shift and change in any given moment.

This is why I say learning to comprehend the vibrations of energies is a language.  It is a silent expression that is transferring information all of the time.  Our hearts convey our energetic being to others when we meet them and they do the same.  Our minds have yet to catch up to this perspective.

How do we learn this awesome form of language?  We begin to listen to our body.  When we encounter another person our body awareness absorbs into their energetic field.  If we tune into what is occurring within us we will feel sensations that are not ours but the other person.  If I encounter someone and suddenly my stomach hurts in their presence I know it is their pain and not mine.  This is a simple example however this concept can be quite complex of feeling emotional conflicts within a person that they have suppressed and cannot feel, or feeling your sweetheart’s anxiety when she is miles away, a tree’s vibration or even the energy of a pet cat.  This is a new world with an infinite amount of perspectives.

In the years that I have been learning the language of energy I have found some of the basic tools simple.  Listen with myself and trust what I observe. Sometimes I do not understand it but I respect the information.  And it comes in a variety of ways from a resonance of energy when I ask a question, a vision of how a situation actually is, an inner voice that is not my mind or even an absence of energy tells me something as well.  It is a rich perspective that is a life long process to learn.

From Fantasy To Reality:  Excerpt From “The Healing Planet”

A common concept, that many have come to believe, is that love is real, and that our imagined fear does not have a basis in truth.  The only fear that is real is the impetus to avoid danger or harm to our selves or others.

In my own experience, I find that many fantasies have a basis in fear.  We create them to escape from our personal life.  For example, resenting my father would be a fantasy.  I am living in a story of my anger of events of the past that stimulate my adrenal glands.  If I relive these thought forms repeatively it becomes a subtle addiction.

Fantasies have a wide range of topics in our life.  For example, the fantasy of “When I win ‘The Lottery’ I will do _____”.  This is a fantasy of escapism.  We can file in the category of ‘the white knight will save me someday’ fantasy.  In that instant that I fantasize, I feel better, but it does not create a thing for me in evolving to being greater.  Like most addictions it traps you into a behavior.  I fantasize; feel charged from it; but afterwards I come down from the high slightly depressed and go back to the real world.

The difference between fantasy and visualization is that visualization is putting the creation into reality.  We can desire that little house on the prairie while sending massive amounts of energy into it by visualizing it.

Sometimes the difference between fantasy and reality is just putting it down on paper.  I would guess that J. K. Rowling has a healthy fantasy life but she writes it down into some very entertaining novels.  We can take our fantasies and turn them into ideals, projects and accomplishments.  There is a healing within ourselves when we express our dreams just as there is healing when we write out or express our angst.

The power of visualization is that it directs the energy of the universe to you or your aspiration.   There are a variety of ways to do creative visualizations, and many people have written on the subject from Carl Jung to DePak Chopra.

The parasympathetic nervous system is a part of the central nervous system.  Doctors tell us that the parasympathetic nervous system is active when we are sleeping however it is also active when we are in states of meditation, relaxation and trance.  It is also suggested that when we are awake and in that relaxed parasympathetic state we are in a place of consciousness that nurtures and heals our body.

The opposite of this perspective is the sympathetic that is active when we are doing and awake.  Other qualities of the sympathetic nervous system is it is connected to the stress, trauma, anger and other negativity sensations we experienced through the day.  For many the sympathetic nervous systems have been trained to function with our adrenal glands for us we learned to function in a nervous, slightly traumatized, adrenal charged state.  It is the state of being that creates much of our illness.

When we have some sort of daily practice of meditation or prayer that calms and centers us we train our body to stay in parasympathetic nervous system energies more of our waking hours.  In this relaxed state we are actively healing our body during waking and sleeping hours.  A more generative flow occurs that nurtures all phases of our life, so it brings the same revitalizing power in all of what we are creating.

It is good for all phases of our life to meditate regularly and do things that deeply relax us like walking quietly in the forest.  Get to know what your body feels like especially your back area where our parasympathetic nervous system’s nerve energy is located and be able to recreate it as much as possible.  We can live in this relaxed nurturing place that prolongs our life and heals us all of the time.

While teaching a Communion With Nature class in Barton Springs, Austin Texas the group walked along a cliff side made from limestone rock.  I was teaching students how to perceive the energies of nature in a variety of contexts with trees, earth, plants and rocks.  As we walked the trail beside the limestone cliff that appears to have once been a cave wall I used my hand to scan the energies emanating out of the rocks as I have done many times in this area.  To my surprise there was three times the usual amount of energy seeping out through the rock’s cracks and it was coming out in places that usually have no output.  This cliff was really having an intense outflow that I had never witnessed before.

What was the cause of this?  Recent rains help earth’s energy flow through rocks more easily.  But I have felt the energies in these stones before after rains and it has never been this powerful.  Suddenly the answer came up in a knowing from my body, my higher self.  The energy from the tectonic plates shifting is coming up to us through rocks like these.  The tectonic plate movements are occurring all around the planet at dramatic levels creating such things as the earthquakes in Japan and greater release of energy from the earth.

Even though this is tragic for millions there maybe a benefit for the rest of us.  Just like the energy seeping from the limestone cliff at Barton Springs a dynamic energy maybe flowing out to areas all through-out the world.  I suspect so since the tectonic plate movements are occurring around the planet.  This additional energy can change our consciousness as we become energized from it in subtle ways.  It can influence us to evolve to a higher vibration, create new ideas and manifest our lives in bigger ways.  It maybe the planet’s way of influencing us to become more aware.  Just like people who gravitate to high energy locations like Sedona, Arizona or Mount Shasta, Washington they wish to be transformed.   It may be occurring all over the planet thanks to these numerous shifting fault lines.

What we need to do is remain receptive, continue to practice our own spiritual development.  I believe it is a golden time in mankind’s evolution, we can release limitations so much easier and raise our vibration faster than ever before.  It is a time to focus on inner growth and the planet maybe supporting us with its dynamic energetic presence.

Several years ago I attended a blessing by the world reknown hugging saint Ammachi.  Ammachi gives thousands of people each year a blessing by hugging the person called darshan.  For many it is a life changing experience as the blessing raises the vibrational rate of the person.  Each time I have received darshan I feel a surge of energy from Amma that races within me that feels ecstatic.  I leave these encounters feeling changed.

On one occasion I had decided to silently bring the intention to Amma during the blessing that I wished to resolve all of my sexual problems.  As I waited in line I focused on this intention and reflected on what I thought was sexually wrong with me.

Once I was receiving Darshan from Ammachi an overpowering thought was in my mind of having sex with Amma.  I could not release this thought and focus on a more divinely state of receiving the blessing.  All I could think about was having the sexual act with Amma.

I was mortified with embarrassment from my thoughts.  I finished the thirty-second blessing acting as if nothing happened but I felt extremely guilty for having such thoughts.  I left Amma’s immediate area to be alone in my shame.

Later that evening I shared the story with a male friend who chuckled at my dilemma.  He told me that Amma was only serving my request.  She brought her own presence into my thoughts as a message.

Years later as I reflect upon this experience I see that Amma was changing me.  It was a transmission on many levels. One aspect of it was to make love as if I was loving a goddess.  To address my intimate partner in such reverence opens me to a higher love through my partner.  In such humility and heart-opened love for another we create the possibility for a higher love.  To being with someone that you are motivated to have such vulnerability with opens you not only in seeing the god/goddess in them but to open it in you.

The Patterns Of Bicycles (Excerpt From The Book, “The Healing Planet”)

One day in the forest I was conversing to a spirit guardian of the earth.  As a way of being polite I asked the guardian for permission to bring a group of people to his/her area for a class that I was teaching.

The spirit guardian responded, “Just not ‘those’ people.”

Puzzled I asked, “Can I bring my students?”  While asking I flashed in my mind the group of people that were coming to my class.

The guardian said,  “Yes that’s fine but not ‘those’ people!”

I looked up to see two men riding mountain bikes on a nearby trail.

The spirit guide told me that the circular motion of the wheels and the spokes was an uncomfortable energy.  When the next cyclist passed by, I placed my attention on the energy of the wheels and there was a difference between the energies of the bicycles and of the forest.  The circular motion created an energy that penetrated the atmosphere in a linear, cone like shape.  The energy of the forest is chaotic; it meanders and flows in all directions without any force.  So the bicycle’s motions momentarily slice through the fractal fabric of nature, causing a slight disruption.

I began to observe the energies of automobiles. The massive circular repetitions at high speeds create an intense disruptive force.  If you stand near a busy interstate highway you will really feel it.  If your body feels uncomfortable in those situations, this might be why.  Beyond the movement of the tires there are a variety of other parts of the car that rotate in a circular motion and also contribute to this linear energy.

In the forest, I cannot recall seeing anything that is perfectly circular or straight. If the essence of words and language is energy, then I would surmise that shapes and motions have an energetic component as well.  The shapes of the forest are unstructured in its multitudes of shapes.  That is where its beauty and magic lies.  Nature flourishes in the energy of unpatterened fractal designs.  This chaotic design is how the entire universe functions.  It is one of the reasons why a tree that is pruned to grow up straight has a different energy than a tree in the forest.

As we design our yards, or inside our homes, we can create those fractal designs of nature; whether it be in landscaping, painting our walls, or the designs in the home.  It relaxes our psyche and connects us to a primal part of ourselves.

As a way to bring in more of nature’s presence, ask your planted trees and shrubs to connect to the energy of the earth, to wild trees, and to all of nature.  You can retrain the energy of your plants.
